Commenced business as Advanced Business Computers (Pvt) Ltd, on the 12th November 1992 at No. 54A, Ward Place, Colombo 07. Complete operation was consisting of Two rooms and 4 people.

Initially the scope was desktop publishing and printing and then gradually commenced marketing of computers and accessories

Most of the marketing was done towards SMB customers and in 1996 Mr. Priath Fernando, Chairman of UTE joined as a director and then the company was  renamed to ABC Computers (Pvt) Limited.

In 2004, UTE became a strategic shareholder of the company and by that time ABC has established itself as one of the market leaders in the ICT arena and were pushing premium IT brands into the market.
